We have an exciting roadmap ahead for new products, services, production capacity and business expansion. As a result of this continued success, Tyrone International Ltd are now recruiting for a Technical Presales Engineer to join our busy engineering team.
Job Summary
The Technical Presales Engineer will bridge the gap between technical expertise and sales and provide technical support to the sales department in the development of the customised sales packages tailored towards each customer. You would be responsible for helping to size and select the correct equipment for each plant based on the applications information received and creating the initial sales drawing in 2D and 3D as well as the full sales documentation package.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide application support for the Tyrone International product range
• Gather and collate performance data on equipment and applications
• Advise dealers/customers on solutions for their application enquiries
• Ensure correct equipment is selected to suit required applications
• Prepare 3D drawings for sales team to assist with quotations
• Prepare 2D CAD drawings showing machine layouts in accordance with customer requirements and civils layouts.
• Provide detailed technical requirements for bespoke plants to the engineering team. Assist in establishing lead-times and costs
• Carry out testing of material samples and prepare report of results
• Investigate new applications for existing products

Skills Required
- Demonstrated engineering expertise, and ability to improve products or services by applying professional and business knowledge.
- Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations.
- Solid analytical skills and judgment to proactively identify and solve increasingly complex problems
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion. - Proficient in 2D and 3D modelling CAD, either Creo or Solidworks, Microsoft Office and database management tools.
Qualification and Experience
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or related manufacturing engineering discipline required.
- Experience in industrial process design ideally with washing equipment.
- Experience within crushing and screening would be advantageous.
- A good understanding of the various applications that the machines can work in.
- Technical expertise in mechanical systems.
- Experience of working in a customer facing environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-discipline team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach for generating new ideas.
- An excellent grasp of engineering and design principles and industry standards.
