Tyrone International are extremely proud to announce a new project award from Quattro UK Ltd, one of London’s leading waste management and recycling companies.
The project will see Tyrone International design, manufacture and install a new Recycled Aggregate Washing Plant and Water Treatment System, complete with an advanced Filter Press, helping Quattro UK recover more value from construction and demolition waste materials while supporting its sustainability goals.
Designed specifically to process challenging C&D waste streams, the new installation will enable Quattro UK to transform waste materials into high-quality recycled aggregates suitable for reuse across the construction sector.
Engineered for Maximum Recovery
The modular washing plant has been sized to process up to 120 tonnes per hour with the capacity to scale, although throughput will vary depending on the grading and composition of incoming feed material.
To accommodate feed material with silt levels of up to 20%, the plant incorporates a double-wash sand system, ensuring the production of cleaner, higher-value end products.
The facility will produce five washed products:
- 0-4mm Washed Sand
- 10mm Aggregate
- 20mm Aggregate
- 40mm Aggregate
- 80mm Aggregate
The modular design also provides exceptional accessibility for operation, maintenance and servicing, helping to maximise uptime and long-term performance.
Advanced Water Management Technology
Water recovery and sludge management form a critical part of any successful recycling operation.
The project includes a complete Tyrone International Water Treatment Plant incorporating a high-performance Filter Press system designed to maximise water recovery, minimise waste volumes and reduce operating costs.
The Filter Press will continue operating after production hours until the sludge holding tank has been emptied, ensuring efficient processing and optimum water recycling throughout the operation.
Supporting the Circular Economy
As demand for sustainable construction materials continues to grow, investment in advanced recycling infrastructure has never been more important.
This latest project demonstrates Quattro UK’s commitment to diverting valuable materials from landfill and returning them to the supply chain as high-quality recycled aggregates.
By combining industry-leading washing technology with advanced water treatment systems, the new facility will help maximise resource recovery while reducing environmental impact.
A Partnership Built for the Future
At Tyrone International, we are committed to helping customers unlock greater value from every tonne of material processed.
We look forward to working closely with the Quattro UK team throughout the design, manufacture and installation phases of this exciting project and sharing further updates as the plant progresses.
